Fermented with a Belgian ale yeast, a blend of barley and wheat malts yields a mixture of clove and fruity aromas, all without the use of any spices.

IBUs are useful for homebrewers for the purpose of clone recipes, but it doesn’t always tell the whole story. Expedition Stout is a good example.
