Bud Light Seltzer Holiday Ugly Sweater Pack (w/Egg Nog)
Holy smokes! Let's dive head first into this one, it's gonna be good.
A decathlon of beer-drinking feats that test your strength and fortitude.
Arguably the Greatest of All Drinking Games.
So, Anheuser-Busch just put out a Holiday Seltzer pack with a can of Egg Nog flavored seltzer. Seriously, Seltzer Nog. This is already a winner in our book. Yes yes, we adore craft breweries, we know. But sometimes, man, sometimes you just gotta roll with the season and let loose.
Bud Light's new seltzer variety pack is unlike anything we've ever seen before. Ok, so we saw it last year. However, they've upped the ante in 2021, as if they can start to see the light at the end of the COVID tunnel and this mythical, limited time variety pack will help guide us through the holiday season like Rudolph and his glowing
gin blossom red nose.
When it was unveiled last year, the Bud Light Seltzer Ugly Sweater Pack lineup of festive flavors took many by surprise, us included. We weren't expecting to see slim cans of bubbly seltzer with new flavors such as Apple Crisp, Gingersnap, and Peppermint Pattie. Sure, Cranberry was well and good, you know, with its cranberry flavor and all. However, those other flavors are not exactly found in even the wildest Truly hard seltzer variety pack. We're not even sure you'd see those flavors in a 12-pack of Crook & Marker.
Anyway, so last year in 2020, Budweiser drops a press release from the big offices in Missouri or New York or wherever letting everyone know about this Ugly Sweater Variety Pack and people lose their mind. Peppermint Pattie as a hard seltzer? Alcoholic beverages were never the same since. That is, until this year.
This year, to get us into the holiday spirit, AB-InBev hands us three new flavors, one of which is a hard seltzer flavor so painfully obvious that it hurts. That flavor is Seltzer Nog. It's also your new favorite (maybe?) holiday drink, nutmeg optional.
Are you the type of person who loves Egg Nog but absolutely abhors the dense caloric load, then Seltzer Nog is for you. Instead of 300-350 calories per 12oz serving of Egg Nog with Brandy, Bourbon, or other spirit, you can enjoy a 12oz slim can of Seltzer Nog that checks in at only 100 calories. That would make our list of low calorie beers for sure (if we're equating the two, which we kind of our for this argument).
With regard to the taste of each new flavor, we imagine Budweiser hopes Cherry Cordial is a bubbly, drinkable version of those boxed Cella or Queen Anne chocolate covered cherries your grandmother raves about each year at the holiday dinner table, the Sugar Plum is the bubbly, drinkable version of a mountain berry jam with plum flavors layered over it, and the Seltzer Nog is the bubbly, drinkable version of all the vanilla flavors, nutmeg and sweet cinnamon dreams you had before you knew adding bourbon was a thing - like ice cream if it sparkled.

Bud Light Seltzer Ugly Sweater Pack Apparel
Oh yes. Yes, Anheuser-Busch has released a lineup of apparel to accompany the variety pack into the world and not only into your fridge, but also on your body and your seltzer cans. A-B is definitely out to prove that seltzer season isn't limited to the summer. They're also out to make a dollar, so if you're looking for ideas, some apparel would be a great beer-related gift to give to that special someone who loves all-things beer.

Why change up the flavors of the Ugly Sweater Variety Pack for 2021?
Anheuser-Busch is great at marketing and selling alcohol-related products. As to the former, who better to let us know why they've introduced new flavors this year than Andy Goeler, Vice President of Marketing at Anheuser-Busch.
"After launching our first-ever Ugly Sweater pack last year to rave reviews, there was never a doubt that we were going to bring it back this year, adding new, festive flavors to help fans make this holiday season even more memorable and fun."
Why does Bud Light Seltzer taste so good?
According to the brewery, "Bud Light Seltzer’s unique 5-step filtration process ensures a clean finish, with no lingering aftertaste. Our natural carbonation and quality ingredients like sparkling water, real cane sugar, and natural fruit flavor create a light and bubbly seltzer for any occasion."
Where can I buy the Ugly Sweater Variety Pack?
Walmart, Total Wine, Kroger, Drizly and more. So, a mix of grocery stores, liquor stores, and big box retailers near you, as well as Drizly and other online beer retailers.
Which Holiday Seltzer flavor was our favorite?
It certainly wasn't Cranberry. It's not that Cranberry is bad, it's just so basic. We're showing up to this multipack looking for excitement, not a Cranberry, Vodka & Soda in a slim can. Sugar Plum was a bit too sweet. Cherry Cordial was good, just not quite good enough to dethrone Seltzer Nog.
We're not giving up our Egg Nog, that's for sure. We'd rather drink non-alcoholic beer for a month straight than give up a sip of the good stuff this holiday season. In fact, we'd drink Budweiser Zero for a month straight to not give up Egg Nog.
But we also like to get adventurous, and that's where the Ugly Sweater Pack of Bud Light Hard Seltzer comes into play, starting with the Seltzer Nog. From there, we can't ignore what we hope to be a fine balance between the cherry flavors and the chocolate flavors of the Cherry Cordial. And last, we'll wait for dessert to tackle the Sugar Plum. As for the Cranberry, it's all yours.
One last note, the overall alcohol content of the Bud Light Hard Seltzer is quite reasonable at 5%. Something to keep in mind.
