The Best Breweries, Brewpubs & Taprooms in Park City

A long day of pushing powder around is going to make you thirsty. Stop by one of these Park City breweries to slake your thirst. The reward will be well deserved.

Interesting Tools

We love ski towns. Whether it's a small ski town in New England like Stowe, VT, a large ski town like Park City, or a ski region like Lake Tahoe, we can't get enough.

Here are a few places to grab a fresh brewed pint around Park City, Utah.

Mine Shaft Brewing Company

1750 Sun Peak Drive, Park City, UT 84098

Mine Shaft Brewing is in good proximity to the Cabriolet Lift base. Their craft beer selection expands into ciders and various fruit ales, including Orange and Mango. And, we're certainly a bit intrigued by Mine Shaft's Grape Cider - it's not something you see a microbrewery going after often. Our craft beer pick is MSBC's Zion Dog Storm Front IPA (good beer name). On the food side, they offer standard American pub fare that utilizes locally-sourced ingredients.

Park City Brewing

2720 Rasmussen Road, Park City, UT 84098

Who doesn't love $3 pint Mondays? That's just one of the fun deals going on at Park City Brewing. $10 pitchers of beer on Saturday and Sunday. $6 Six Packs of Hooker Blonde - can't go wrong with a buck'a'beer.

Anyway, PCB rolls out big biergarten style tables in the taproom to increase the social camaraderie. That said, there is no kitchen at the brewery, so Park City Brewing relies on food trucks to serve up the pub grub to their guests.

Check out their Breaking Trail Pale Ale or the Park City Coffee Stout.

Red Rock Brewing (Park City)

1640 Redstone Center Drive, Park City, UT 84098

Anytime a microbrewery or brewpub has a patio, we're interested in patronizing it, as outdoor beers are some of the very best beers. Such is the case with Park City's Red Rock Brewing.

RRB is a full-service restaurant that nails hits on every type of comfort food, including beer battered pickle chips, spicy buffalo wings, wood-fired pizzas, and sandwiches, as well as desserts and a kids menu (kid friendly brewery obviously).

As for Red Rock Brewing beers, grab a Frohlich Pilsner with your lunch sando and a Drioma (Imperial Stout) with your steak dinner. Also, Red Rock brews Black is Beautiful, a collaboratively brewed beer raising money for Social Justice and equality. One last thing, don't bother driving if you're going to order the Marvella, it's an 11% abv powerhouse of banana candy bubblegum beer. That is all.

Wait, we wanna know, who wrote the Buffalo Point New England IPA beer description? It's fantastic.

"Buffalo Point ... Pairs well with footie games, inflatable sporting goods and purposeful meditations."

We're down with inflatable sporting goods. You know, a brewery could probably position itself as a "Parents Night Out" headquarters just by setting up a glass wall in their taproom and putting a supervised roped off section of bounce houses and jumpy jump castles in their warehouse.

Squatters Roadhouse Grill & Pub

1900 Park Ave, Park City, UT 84098

Bourbon Burger. We should just leave that there and move on. Do you really need to order anything else? We suppose a Full Suspension Pale Ale would play nice as a pairing.

Squatters Roadhouse is less than a mile from the base of Park City Mountain, or, a 15 minute walk, 25 in ski boots. Squatters unleashes a full food and beverage menu where even the pickiest eaters could find something palatable. If you're trying to play both sides of the coin at lunch, splitting a Spinach Blueberry Salad with a Prosciutto & Arugala pie could work.

The beer lineup includes brews such as Squatters Juicy IPA, Emigration Amber, and Chasing Tail Golden Ale, who's write-up has this to say about it, "A best-of-breed English Style Summer Ale, this tail-wagger’s already fetched a real name for itself in competition. Our premium barley rolls over with domestic and imported Golding hops for a delicate bitterness and a cold, wet nose," and who's beer can has a puppers on it.

Wasatch Brewery (Park City)

2110 Highland Dr, Salt Lake City, UT 84106

Come to think of it, not many breweries are blue ...

The Park City Wasatch Brewpub is chock full of pubgrub, including buffalo chili, pizzas, salads, turkey burgers, you name it. Their kids menu is one of the best we've ever seen, think big, huge icons of the food. And, the brewpub does breakfast, so whether you need your millenial's fill of avocado toast, or you want to rock their Brigham's Brew french toast, Wasatch has you covered.

The beer selection is equally stocked, ranging from the light hearted, low abv craft brews to the high test homerun hitters like Wasatch's Brandy Devastator, a limited run beer that's 10%+ and aged in brandy barrels. Also included in their draft lineup are "Sister Wife Brewery" beers from Squatters. Beer flights are available alongside growler fills/refills to go.
