Miss V's Blueberry Ale

Moat Mountain offers a slightly different take than the blueberry ales offered by Wachusett Brewing Company and Sea Dog. It’s a bit more tart and (slightly) less easy-drinking than it’s New England counterparts. Good flavor though. Low in bitterness. A touch of purple in the pour. ## Moat Mountain Smokehouse and Brewing Company’s Beer Description (on can) Our Naturally Flavored American Ale. We use 90 lbs. of Wild Maine Blueberries in every brew with our original process of adding the steam-extracted juices post fermentation. Our intent has always been; beer first, fruit second. The results showcase a remarkable crisp, light beer with a mild fruit flavor. ## Hops & Malts used in the {{ beername }} brewing recipe - American Ale Yeast - Bavarian Pilsner Malt - Columbus - Wheat & Flaked Barley ## Final thoughts on {{ beername }} Overall, Miss V’s Blueberry Ale was pretty good. Would have preferred to have had it from our White Mountain brewery tour a while back.
