Andrews, NC sits (relatively) at the Georgia and Tennesseee state lines. In some respects, it’s in the middle of nowhere. In brighter prospects, they say it’s just a few hours drive to anything you want to get to. If we’re going somewhere from Andrews, it’s probably to check out breweries in Asheville. The owners of Andrews Brewing also run a winery (Calaboose Cellars) in their small town. They’re also a Harvest Host. Harvest Host is a collection of breweries, cideries, distillers, farms, and wineries that host campers, glampers, and RVers to stay overnight throughout the United States. It’s a $79/yr membership, which seems fairly reasonable. Also, don’t confuse Andrews Brewing Company (NC) with Andrew’s Brewing Company in Lincolnville, ME. ## {{ brewery }} Hours - Wednesday Noon - 8:00 - Thursday Noon - 8:00 - Friday Noon - 8:00 - Saturday Noon - 8:00 - Sunday 1:00 - 7:00 ## {{ brewery }} Beer Beers from Andrews are generally kept in the 5-7% ABV range. That said, the IBUs vary a lot more, running from low-ish (21) to much higher (93). The brewery also uses a variety of hops within their brews, most notably Cascade, Columbus, Hallertau and Willamette. They probably learned all about hops from reading homebrewing books. - Four-Lane ESB (English Ale) - Happy Top Wheat (American Wheat) - Leatherwood Red (American Amber) The ESB received a NC Brewers Cup award in 2013, so it’s gotta be pretty solid. So if you’re in the area, stop on in for a pint of beer. Too bad they don’t pour Puppers Premium Lager. ## {{ brewery }} Food/Menu They were hoping to find a way to open a restaurant on the premises. Not sure if it happened. ## {{ brewery }} Entertainment & Events The Andrews Brewing calendar is action-packed with events, live performances, art shows and more. Acts like Chris West, The Harmed Brothers, Trevor Pattillo and Jody West have all come through. Beyond their Concert Series, the mountain taproom also runs Corn Hole and Disc Golf tournaments. We’re also pretty sure that they conduct brewery tours on Saturday, but we could be wrong.
